My name is Dorothy Dreyer, I’m an American living in Germany, and I am an aspiring writer. Among these pages, I’ve provided a little background on me and a peek at some of the work I’ve done. I hope you enjoy your stay!
*My logline and first page of My Sister’s Reaper made it into Miss Snark’s First Victim’s 2011 Baker’s Dozen contest and received a bid for a partial manuscript submission.
*I was awarded an Honorable Mention for my pitch of (now shelved novel) Bittersweet Melody in a contest at Shelli Johannes’s Market My Words.
* In 2010 I was awarded two Honorable Mentions in query/sample contests for my novel Pretty Girls Make Graves: one at Authoress’s Secret Agent Contest, and one at J.A. Souders’s Secret Agent Contest. I have also been awarded First Place in the Write On! Online May Query Contest and the Market My Words Pitch Contest for Pretty Girls Make Graves.
